I don't know where to start with how poor this company are, i read the poor reviews on here and probably shouldn't have gave them the benefit of the doubt but oh dear did i learn the hard way!!!!
Ordered a sim only plan on Sat 16th July as it seemed a good deal, now i know why its a good deal! as nobody would touch this lot with a barge pole unless they were giving it away for free!
States on order that Sim will be delivered in 3 working days, sim never arrived at all. Contacted them this afternoon via live chat and OMG I've never come across such incompetence in my life. It was a chap named Adhithya Ram and the only word i can describe him with is awful. He told me he had cheched with his back end team and the sim will be delivered today, i explained that my mail had already been delivered for today by Royal mail but he proceeded to tell me that he knew my postal deliveries better than me and it was still to come. After 10 minutes of this nonsense he finally admitted defeat and acknowledged there was delivery of the sim happening today. Due to this and the fact this guys incompetence had sucked the life out of me i said i was going to take my custom elsewhere and i would like the money i paid for sim up front refunded. This is where things went from ridiculous to just plain not on, i was asked to provide information i couldn't provide, told to email addresses to request the refund as he couldn't access any systems, it was just anything and everything to make life difficult so i ended up just raising a dispuate through my bank as that was easier than dealing with that clown.
I asked to speak with a manager/supervisor as per my rights, he refused this and to top it off after all the trouble i had i wanted the chat transcript as per my rights, again he refused this and said if i wanted that i would need to screenshot it all! LOL i would have had to take about 100 pictures to screen shot all that.
All in all this is a sham of a company and please do not waste your time even trying them, the bad reviews on here are 100% true and i would question the authenticity of any of the positive reviews on here.
Also your reply makes absolutely zero sense just like everything else you do. Today was the 3rd working day and the sim did not arrive, I’ve got zero interest in having a sim from you now after all this. Your customer service is the worst I’ve come across and you couldn’t be trusted to run a bath.

I’ve ordered sim 10th of July and still haven’t received. Called them numerous times, but they keep telling me it’s with my post office. But postman drops mails everyday except the sim. Will contact my bank to get money back

Lycamobile is a company of thieves, incompetent, no customer service, no solutions when your money is stolen by them, when before you leave this company is better to save you time and money, this was my error.

lycamobile cheaters and thieves, even cheaters in the reviews, for each review with 1 star, you are putting 3-5 reviews with 5 stars. how long will you continue to lie, cheat and steal from customers, you forgot today with social networks it will be increasingly difficult for you to continue with yours lies. it's a lousy company. To everyone do not trust the reviews with 5 stars, because they are making by lycamobile to maintain 4.6 stars....

Pay a little more and go anywhere else
I had no option but to cancel my contract with Lycamobile before it even started. I understand they are a budget provider but they were completely unwilling to solve the problem they caused. After taking payment I was not sent the 8 digit activation code, despite sending proof of purchase and wasting many hours speaking with people via the telephone who were completely unwilling to help I gave up. This company has no interest in customers.
After calling "customer services" - this is not a fair name for the department! (they have no interest in customers!) I was told to send proof of payment to csAtLycamobile.co.uk I took a screen print of the payment from my online banking and got this response:
"Furthermore, to your email, we request you to check your email inbox and spam/junk folder as well for the 8-digit activation pin, which you would have received on the same day of purchase (first email from us)."
This is incredibly frustrating when you've already explained you have checked these folders to the person answering the call and each time they take 48hrs to respond to any email. After calling and replying stating that I had carefully checked these folders I had to send another email!!! (why - it's like the people on the phone can't do anything except tell you to send an email) I got this:
"Further to your email, we are sorry to inform you that the details you’ve provided are not enough for us to escalate further."
There is no explanation of what information they are expecting or any desire to solve the problem.
If you are considering Lycamobile because they look good value DONT DO IT, pay a little more and go elsewhere (Lebara are almost as cheap and much better), this company will take your payment and cut you off.
You might have noticed that most of the positive reviews for this company are very similar normally thanking someone personally on the customer service telephone line..... *** highly suspicious reviews ***
And as for the person who replies to the negative reviews with "we are sorry..." please email trustpilotreview... : Why not spend your time trying to solve people's problems rather than trying to look like you do with copy-paste responses!!!!!

It's very very shame i experienced from…
It's very very shame i experienced from Lycamobile team.They cheated me on retention bundle and looted the top up amount with out my notice.
When i contacted their customer service team they always asking for time and this guys do not value customer's time at all.
I already contacted their email support team as well and no reply yet.

Lyca try to make it impossible to leave
My package is supposed to be unlimited. I went to Spain a few weeks ago- whilst in the airport (in the UK) I lost all ability to make calls or access the internet. This remained the case for the entire week (losing me business). Remarkably all services resumed when I re-entered the UK.
I have since requested my PAC code. After customer services wasted a lot of my time taking my details, going through checks and constantly saying “sorry” (always a sign that a company knows that they are messing up a lot). They then told me to send an email- this could have been done in the first sentence- not too bright are we?
I then emailed them asking for my PAC code, they promptly replied, stating that it “would be, and in the same email that it “had been” (which is it Lyca?) sent. Only it hadn’t been.
Three days later, the not so competent Ashook, emails me. First of all with the usual apologies for not doing what they should, but then telling me that it would be texted, then telling me that it had been texted - in the same message! You incompetent, useless clown Ashook.
However, it still hasn’t been sent!!!
Now, Lyca’s excuse “may” be, that my texts are down, they’re not, but if they are, Lyca are the provider! They know that my emails work (now back in the UK), as I can rely on wifi from another provider.
So why not email me my code, you bunch off £&@“s

2 hours after writing this, Lyca call me to help. But they still hadn’t/haven’t done the easy thing and sent the code (I mean wtaf!).
I hear that Chris Tooley is buying a top hat and red coat with tails, which will be useful as the ring master of the UK’s largest circus.

Jolly spiffing service
Just had a great service from Alexa (ID30206) - I was trying but failing to activate my plan after porting in. Much to my relief, she spotted the issue straight away (I was using the PIN sent by text when I should've been using the longer one sent by email) and now I'm all sorted. Thanks Alexa :)

DO NOT USE LYCAMOBILE. If I could leave 0 stars I would! Absolutely terrible, pretty sure I’ve been scammed. They took my money for a plan I had purchased and never sent me an email with an activation code. All I need them to do is re-send the email as I didn’t get, however every time I have rung the helpline they are absolutely useless. I have rung 5 times now and I’m sure it will be many more before I get this code! I ported my old number which means I can’t use my phone when not connected to WiFi. I’ve never had such unprofessional customer service, staff on the helpline were so rude and it was obvious they could not care less about helping me. One of the people I spoke to even gave me a fake reference number and another hung up on me!
